In this course, you will see how to simulate interactions between skin and blood in Maya 2016 using nCloth and Bifrost within Maya. Software required: nCloth, Bifrost, Maya 2016.

This course, Simulating Interactions Between Skin and Blood in Maya, will focus on using Maya’s simulation tools to create a variety of effects centered around mutilating a zombie. The course begins by covering nCloth and Bifrost liquid simulation basics. With an established foundation, three projects will be introduced. The first, will be smashing a zombie’s head. Using pre-scored geometry and simulated blood you will virtually hit the head causing the parts to break apart. The second project, Squashing a Zombie, uses a full zombie body as a fillable container. Once filled with blood, you will crush the zombie with a large crate, forcing the blood to ooze out. Lastly, the zombie will be ripped into two. Using a chain wrapped around the zombie’s upper half, the undead will be pulled apart, exposing its entrails in a gush of blood. Software required: nCloth, Bifrost, Maya 2016.
